About Jayne Kleinman…
Jayne Kleinman specializes in health care and disability resource
consulting. Working with families or individuals, Jayne helps them
connect with resources to address issues and health concerns arising
from stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, arthritis,
Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other disabilities.
Resources may include hospitals, doctors, rehabilitation specialists,
community agencies, municipal programs, nursing homes, assisted
living facilities, independent living programs and private personal
assistants. Jayne Kleinman can help you find the resources you need—in
your hometown or anywhere in the United States—to make the
right decisions. Jayne also consults with providers to help them
develop and deliver the best in health care, rehabilitation and
disability services.
Jayne’s experience includes:
- Twelve years as part-time instructor in Rehabilitation Counseling
and Case Management
at Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, Connecticut.
- Twenty-two years as Social Worker, Patient Advocate and Community
Liaison at Gaylord Hospital, Wallingford, Connecticut, where she
facilitated rehabilitation plans, provided care management and
counseling for individuals with spinal cord injury and their families,
provided resource information, and developed community partnerships
with the National Spinal Cord Injury Association.
Jayne is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, received her Master
of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at the State University
of New York at Buffalo, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has also served
on these professional boards and committees:
- American Association of Spinal Cord Injury Psychologists and
Social Workers
- National Spinal Cord Injury Association
- Connecticut Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities
Jayne is recognized as a national expert in disability resources
and rehabilitation. Her work has earned her these special awards:
Special Recognition Award, American Association of Spinal Cord Injury
Psychologists and Social Workers, 2003; Philip B. Arnold Award,
National Spinal Cord Injury Association, Connecticut Chapter, 1995.
